The story is set at about the time when Link re-emerged from the Temple of Light as the Hero of Time. Unfortunately, there had been a problem when his spirit was sealed away...

When he'd been walking through Kakariko Village, seven years ago, he'd bumped into one of the many carpenters who pranced around the village, and one of the carpenter's hairs had been caught on his tunic. And it had been sealed in the Temple of Light with him for seven years - and had managed to irrevocably change his personality. When he came out of the Temple of Time, he was no longer Link, Hero of Time: he was, instead, Linky the Lanky and Kinky Hero of Time (TM). So now you know.
