Where was I? Ah yes, the Kimono of Kink. Nayru had been in a particularly
bizarre mood that day, since she gave it to the Gorons as a hereditary
treasure. It was passed down from tribal leader to tribal leader over
generations - Darunia's great-grandfather used it as a ceremonial carpet, and
his grandfather used it as a curtain. However, one fateful day, the tiny
breeze that normally whistled through the Goron City caught the silk in the
right way, and the kimono billowed out, to reveal...
...a small golden Triforce symbol on the inside of the hem. (The goddesses liked to leave their mark on their creations.) Darunia's grandfather realised that this kimono had great mystical significance, and so he presented it to the King of Hyrule (Zelda's grandfather) as a token of respect - plus, the darn thing wouldn't fit a Goron, and pink flowers really didn't suit him. |
